Here is operational information as of 6pm:

There are repeated air and missile strikes of the russian occupiers on targets on the territory of Ukraine.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, units of the Armed Forces of the republic of belarus are performing tasks to strengthen protection of a section of the belarusian-Ukrainian border in Brest and Homel oblasts. 

Towards Siversk, in the areas of the settlements of Senkivka, Hremyach and Pushkari in Chernihiv oblast, and Basivka and Kindrativka, Sumy oblast were shelled with artillery of various calibers. Aerial reconnaissance of border areas with unmanned aerial vehicles was conducted.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of  Cherkaski Tyshky, Husarivka, Ivanivka, Kharkiv, Korobochkine, Lebiazhe, Petrivka, Prudianka, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Staryi Saltiv and Udy. Airstrikes were carried out near Stara Husarivka, Mospanove and Saltiv. 

The enemy tried to gain a foothold in the area of the settlement of Pytomnyk. The invaders were defeated soundly by Ukrainian defenders and were forced to retreat.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy carried out fire damage from tanks, barreled artillery and multiple launch rocket systems near Bohorodychne, Dolyna,  Dibrovne, Dovhenke, Krasnopillia, Virnopillya, and Velyka Komyshuvakha. An airstrike was launched near Zaliman. Not far from Nova Dmytrivka and Dolyna, the invaders unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops and withdrew.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy used barreled and rocket artillery to shell Kramatorsk, Verkhnokamianske, Siversk, Hryhorivka and Kryva Luka.

By conducting an assault, the enemy tried to gain a foothold near Ivano-Darievka and Vyimka, were repelled and retreated. 

Towards Bakhmut, there was the shelling of military and civilian infrastructure near Bakhmut, Chasovyi Yar  and seven other settlements. The enemy launched airstrikes near Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Kodema, Soledar, Spirne, Vesela Dolyna, Yakovlivka and Zaitseve.

By offensive and assault actions, the enemy tried to advance near Bakhmut, Vershyna Yakovlivka, and Zaitseve, yet failed. Fighting is still ongoing in some areas.

Towards Avdiivka the enemy fired tanks and rocket artillery at the areas of the settlements of Kurakhove, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, New York  and Oleksandropil. An airstrike was launched near Marinka.

By offensive actions, the invaders are trying to break through the defenses of our troops towards Oleksandropol, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Marinka and Pisky. Tough fighting continues to rage.

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, near Pavlivka, Volodymyrivka, Vuhledar and a number of other settlements, the enemy is shelling. Air strikes were launched on the areas of Chervone, Novoselka, Pavlivka and Volodymyrivka.

The invaders’ attempts to gain a foothold towards Pavlivka and Novoselka failed.

Towards the South Buh, near the Stepova Dolyna, Parutyne, Pribuzhske, the enemy shelled the civilian infrastructure. Enemy aircraft operated near Andriivka, Bila Krynytsya, Lozove and Osokorivka. 

The invaders failed to advance towards Lozove and Shyroke and, suffering losses, retreated.


The mayor of Enerhodar, Dmytro Orlov, urged residents not to go outside due to mass shelling by russians towards the ZNPP. 

There were powerful explosions in the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka. 

The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the Kakhovka bridge. It was the last transport artery for the invaders.

The Minister of Defense of Slovakia said that the first four units of self-propelled guns “Zuzana 2” had finally reached Ukraine. 

Danish Defense Minister Morten Bodskov said that Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic decided to launch a program to expand production of artillery systems, ammunition and other military equipment for Ukraine.


Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops engaged aviation near three villages of Kharkiv Oblast – Mospanove, Starii Saltiv and Zalyman. The enemy continued shelling from tanks, barrel and rocket artillery targeting settlements of Kharkiv – Dementiivka, Korobochkyne, Mospanove, Petrivka, Protopopivka, Prudianka, Ruski Tyshky, Starii Saltiv, Udy, Velyki Prokhody and Verkhnii Saltiv. Shelling was recorded near Bohorodychne, Brazhkivka, Dibrivne, Dolyna, Mazanivka and Nortsivka.

There were two strikes overnight in Kharkiv. In Sloboda district, an S-300 missile hit the sidewalk near a college. The blast wave damaged the building.

In Nemyshlia district, a rocket struck the lawn in front of a hotel and restaurant complex. Trolleybuses and cars were damaged and windows in houses broken. Two women were assisted by doctors on the spot. There were no casualties.

The enemy shelled Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts. Houses and outbuildings were damaged.

According to the Emergency Medical Assistance Centre, three civilians were hospitalized during the day. In Kharkiv district, a man and in Bohodukhiv district, a woman and a teenager were injured, the last one is in serious condition.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that five fires were extinguished in Tsyrkuny village, Kharkiv after yesterday’s shelling. One man was hospitalized with injuries.

Donetsk oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian border guards and the Defence Forces destroyed two vehicles and personnel of russian invaders in the Sloviansk direction.

Head of Avdiivka City Military Administration, Vitalii Barabash, reported that half of Pisky settlement is under the control of Ukrainian troops. There is constant fighting in the settlement.

Pokrovsk Mayor, Ruslan Trebushkin, said that in Donetsk oblast, as a result of the hostilities, the Karlivka filtration station went out of power, and several cities in the region were left without water. The water supply will be restored after repairs.

Russian troops shelled Sribne village, Pokrovsk community. Private houses and a school were damaged.

Head of Kramatorsk City Military Administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko, informed that the death toll from the shelling of Kramatorsk on August 12 is rising. An injured woman died in hospital. Three people were killed.

The official page of the Mariupol city council reported that residents heard a massive explosion near Shlakova Mountain. The invaders were trying to steal scrap metal, but ran into a “surprise”.

Luhansk oblast

According to the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, russians are using new methods of forced mobilization in occupied cities of Luhansk oblast. He noted that during visits to apartment buildings, the invaders build trust in elderly people by offering them small amounts of money or food in exchange for information about men of draft age.

Head of Sievierodonetsk District Military Administration, Roman Vlasenko, reported that there are no preparations for the heating season in the occupied Luhansk oblast. There are no resources for this. He added that it is literally impossible to start the heating season in Lysychansk, Popasna, Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

Another modular town was opened in Irpin for citizens who lost their homes due to the war. The living quarters can accommodate 352 people. There are also rooms with fitness equipment, a library with laptops, as well as a children’s playground. Irpin residents will be able to live in the town for one year free of charge.

State Emergency Service engineers continue to demine the territory of Kyiv oblast. Today 94 specialists and 31 units of equipment were engaged in the Brovary, Bucha, and Vyshhorod regions. Almost 35 hectares of territory, 3 households and 25 kilometers of roads were inspected. 175 explosive objects were cleared.

Numerous heating supply facilities, including 64 boiler houses, were damaged during the hostilities in Kyiv oblast. They have managed to repair 47 of them – in Borodianka, Bila Tserkva, Bucha, and Velyka Dymerka communities. Some facilities are planned to be repaired before the start of the winter period as part of the USAID-funded Energy Security Project program.

Zhytomyr oblast

Patrol officers detained two women with russian passports in Zhytomyr oblast. The women behaved aggressively at the checkpoint and refused to provide their IDs. The detainees had photos of residential houses and military facilities in their phones. The women were handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine.

Rescuer Volodymyr Skovorodka, who has been running the ‘Ukraine-Poland Together’ ultramarathon from Kyiv to Warsaw for 3 days, arrived in Zhytomyr, where he was joined by colleagues from all over the oblast. So far, 180 kilometers of the 800 planned have been completed. The purpose of the marathon is to thank Polish people for their support of Ukrainians, as well as to raise funds to buy equipment for divers-rescuers of the State Emergency Service.

Sumy oblast

Within a day, Khotyn, Yunakivka, Esman, Shalygine and Mykolaiv communities were under enemy fire. As reported in the SBGS, the enemy inflicted fire damage using aircraft, mortars, large-caliber small arms, barrel and rocket artillery. About 240 explosions were recorded. Private households in the Shalygine community were damaged due to projectiles.

The “North” OC reported that russian troops fired 120-mm mortars and barrel artillery at the border areas of the Shostka district. There were 12 explosions on the territory of the nature reserve of the Shalygine territorial community.

52 Sumy national guardsmen were awarded state awards. Most of them are fighters who were the first to meet the enemy in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts and for several months restrained the enemy advance through the country.

Books by russian authors are removed from library collections in the Esman community, the territory of which is under constant shelling from the russian federation. About 50% of russian-language literature of various directions was found in library institutions. Most of the books that were removed promote war, violence, national and religious enmity. Authors who publicly supported aggression against Ukraine are also being removed from the shelves.

New grain storage warehouses are being built in the Romny district. According to the management of the “Urozhai” farm, the war forced them to make this decision, because due to problems with salling they are preparing for long-term storage of the crop.

Residents grow vegetables from seeds received from benefactors in the Trostyanets community, which was under russian occupation for a month. The aid was provided by the US fund (USAID). As noted in the Local Development Agency, the community plans to share the harvest with those who are in a difficult situation and need help.

Chernihiv oblast

The SBGS reported that the enemy inflicted fire damage on the border regions using the aircraft, mortars, large-caliber small arms, barrel and rocket artillery. Three communities of Chernihiv oblast – Novgorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk – came under enemy fire. There were about 60 explosions. An enemy drone dropped explosive devices on the territory of the Novgorod-Siverskyi community.

Head of Chernihiv RMA, Viacheslav Chaus, announced that the plan for construction of housing for displaced persons was presented to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Ukraine Päävi Laine. The plan has been developed together with several well-known architectural bureaus and documentation has already been prepared. According to him, the government and private companies of Finland will take part in  reconstruction of the oblast. Chernihiv oblast needs rapid restoration of more than 4 479 residential buildings – 1 029 high-rise buildings and 3 231 private houses.

The Chernihiv RMA reported that seven kindergartens damaged during hostilities are being repaired at the expense of the reserve fund of the state budget in Chernihiv. Three are currently undergoing renovation. 250 million hryvnias have been allocated for restoration of priority objects of critical and social infrastructure in the Chernihiv oblast.

Volunteers of the “Protect Ukraine” charity fund and their partners handed over 20 quadcopters, 3 DronHunter electronic warfare devices, more than 50 thermal imaging cameras and a truck to Ukrainian defenders. The team is also engaged in helping medical institutions and civilians. Since February, they have sent more than 50 tons of humanitarian aid to their needs.

A memorial youth race in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine was held in Mena. The policemen of the local branch also joined it. All willing young residents of Mena were able to go on the running track as part of the sports event. Then the organizers held a charity fair to raise funds for the support of the Armed Forces.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Dnipropetrovsk region is under hostile fire again. In the morning, russian army struck two areas, Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih. The enemy shelled Nikopol from Grad. 30 rockets were targeted at residential quarters. 11 high-rise buildings, 13 private houses and a kindergarten were damaged in the city. The gas pipeline and powerline were disabled. In Kryvyi Rih district, the enemy shelled Zelenodolsk and Apostolivsk communities from Hurricanes. There was no destruction, no one was injured.

According to the National Police, Nikopol’s law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under the article of violation of the laws and customs of war due to night russian shelling.

Agricultural producers of Dnipropetrovsk oblast have already collected more than 2 million tons of grain out of a planned 3 million. Even in war conditions, our farmers are working according to the schedule.

On August 2, a presentation of a new charity project to help Ukraine took place in Tokyo. The Sports of Heart public organization, which helps people with disabilities, released an album of postcards “FLOWERS OF PEACE”, containing reproductions of the works of two artists – the Ukrainian master of Petrykiv painting from the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Galina Nazarenko, and the Japanese artist Tetsutaro Kamatani. Profits from the sale of postcards will be used for humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

Vinnytsia oblast

Branch shredders are manufactured at the “ARPAL” enterprise in Vinnytsia. They plan to produce fuel for solid-fuel boilers, stoves to help the military in trenches in winter. Equipment is also purchased from the TC for heating schools and kindergartens.

Kirovohrad oblast

According to the mayor Serhii Kuzmenko, Soviet symbols continue to be dismantled in Alexandria: a bust of the writer Maksym Gorky, located on the territory of General Educational Institution # 2 was removed.

Poltava oblast

76 830 UAH were collected during a charity fair in Poltava. The money will be spent on equipment for the troops of the 66th brigade, fighting near Maryinka in Donetsk oblast. More than 20 participants joined the charity event. They sold handicrafts and food.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Representatives of the European Union supported demilitarization of the Zaporizhzhia NPP and complete withdrawal of russian troops from the territory of the plant. The EU believes that russia should return full control over the station to its sovereign owner — Ukraine.

The russian occupiers are shelling the Zaporizhzhia NPP from the village of Vodiane, and are also preparing another provocation under the Ukrainian flag. This was reported by Ukrainian Intelligence.

The occupiers again fired at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and industrial areas near the station. This was announced by the mayor of Energodar Dmytro Orlov.

The occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of Zaporizhzhia, Rozumivka, and Mala Tokmachka. There were killed and injured civilians.

The police received 6 reports about destruction of civil infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by the russian occupying forces.

Yesterday evening, the enemy launched several missile attacks on the infrastructure facilities of the city of Zaporizhzhia. As a result, the territory of two enterprises was damaged, and several cars were destroyed by missile fragments. In addition, enemy shells hit the outskirts of the city, the villages of Baburka and Rozumivka.

The territory of the correctional colony in the village of Mala Tokmachka once again came under enemy fire. The blast wave destroyed several administrative buildings, roofing and premises.

Residents of the Orihiv community suffered significant losses. Their houses were left without roofs, with hacked facades and broken windows.

1 784 people, including 503 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.

Almost 250K people have registered in refugee reception points in Zaporizhzhia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation. 120K people received IDP status and remained in the regional center.

Charity tours of the city are being held for internally displaced persons. It is reported by the Zaporizhzhia RMA. They will be held once a week for immigrants from different regions.

Mykolaiv oblast

An enemy Su-35 aircraft launched an airstrike in the western part of Mykolaiv oblast with an Kh-59 missile. There are no losses and destruction.

This morning, the russian occupiers once again attacked Kostiantynivka of the Pervomaisk hromada. Information on damage and victims is being clarified.

The settlements of Halytsynove, Lepetykha, Kavkaz, Vesely Kut, Shyroke, and Chervona Dolyna were under fire. The russian aggressor damaged residential buildings and agricultural buildings. A 52-year-old woman was fatally injured. 

An enemy missile was shot down by the Air Defense Force over Mykolaiv oblast.

During the day, the rescuers of the Mykolaiv oblast eliminated 4 fires and removed 5 ammunitions.

Odesa oblast

The russian army maintains 11 boats and ships in the Black Sea that sail along the Crimean coast to Novorossiysk. Missile carriers with 16 missiles at the ready keep a high level of threat of missile strikes.

Ukrainian defenders shot down the russian Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle in the sky over Odesa oblast. This was reported by the South Air Command.

The Bilhorod-Dnister border detachment received four new UMS – 425CC patrol boats with a total cost of UAH 2.2 million. The boats were provided as part of the international technical assistance project “Together with the EU for border security”, financed by the European Union.

School students from Mykolaivka, Odesa oblast, bake sweets and sell them at the local market. They have already collected almost 40K hryvnias. They send the money to charity funds and help wounded fighters and Odesa brigades.

Kherson Oblast

During the night the enemy launched 6 airstrikes by helicopters in the direction of Andriivka, Lozove and Balka Khutorska. There were no losses. According to the South Operational Command the intensity of shelling remains the same.

The occupiers tried three times to advance towards Andriivka, Shyroke, and Oleksandrivka. They had no success.

Ukrainian aviation launched 5 airstrikes on strongholds and buildups of weapons and equipment in Bashtanka, Beryslav and Kherson districts.

The Ukrainian military hit the road bridge of the Nova Kakhovka dam. It is currently not usable.

The confirmed losses of the enemy are 46 occupiers, 15 units of armored, engineering and automotive equipment. Final losses are still being clarified.

According to the Kherson RMA, Ukrposhta has started issuing pensions in the de-occupied settlements of Kherson oblast.

A team of volunteers from the charity fund “Ukrainians will win” delivered packages of foodstuff and hygiene products to 10 settlements in the Beryslav district, where active hostilities are ongoing.

Western regions

Volyn

The defense attaches of the Embassies of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia in Ukraine arrived in Volyn at the invitation of the Lutsk City Council and the RMA. During the meeting, they discussed the security situation in Volyn, humanitarian aid and attracting financing for the purchase of military ammunition.

Representatives of the international humanitarian mission Doctors Without Borders evacuated 26 people from the war zone to Volyn on a special medical evacuation train.

The volunteer organization Berezhitsia i @bashte sent protective ammunition for dogs – bulletproof vests, safety glasses, shoes, headphones, and medical kits – to the border guard dog handlers.

A plastic processing enterprise moved from Zaporizhia to Novovolynsk. As one of the company’s owners, Andriy Mykhaylov, said that because of the war, they were forced to relocate their business twice: in 2014 – from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia, and after February 24 – to Novovolynsk.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Defense Council of the oblast stated that in the territory of Zakarpattia the population was forbidden to visit forests.

The RMA reported that the international organization ADRA sent humanitarian aid kits, almost 700 kg of food and personal hygiene products, to the employees of the State Biotechnical University relocating to Zakarpattia from Kharkiv.

Almost 400 specialists of the EPAM IT company moved to Zakarpattia since the beginning of the full-scale war.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

At the request of the prosecutors of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, as part of the pre-trial investigation, the property and corporate rights of two companies whose beneficial owners are russian banks were seized. Over UAH 200 million and 8 cars were sent to ARMA management.

A Carpathian local Volodymyr Mussur developed a night vision system for military vehicles. The lighting range of these models is approximately 30 m, which allows you to drive in complete darkness at a speed of up to 40 km/h. In two months, the man made almost 300 devices for the military. The cost of such a device is approximately UAH 4K.

Members of the Association of woodworkers and loggers of the Verkhovyna Region sent a powerful quadcopter equipped with a cargo drop system to the front of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade.

Lviv oblast

The first modern shelter for families of IDPs opened in the Sokal community of Chervonograd district. Over 20 women with children will be able to stay here. This project was implemented by the Caritas-Sokal charitable foundation together with the Ukrainian Educational Platform charitable organization.

Two groups of psychological support Psychological Siesta were organized for children and adolescents currently living in the Center for Social Support of Persons from the Number of Orphans and Children Deprived of Parental Care and IDPs. Groups in the Center will operate on a permanent basis.

About 300 students of the National Scout Organization Plast left Lviv for a summer camp in Poland. The camps will last from 10 to 14 days. Among the travelers are children from Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and other places.

Rivne oblast

A meeting with leaders of the Pomeranian Voivodeship (Poland) was held at the Rivne RMA. They discussed rospects of bilateral cooperation between the regions, specifically in the field of logistics and IT.

The mayor of Rivne, Oleksandr Tretyak, met with active representatives of the youth community and presented them with certificates and thanked them for their significant contributions to the defense of the country, assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and IDPs.

The Honey Rescue fair was held in the Zarichnensk community where a variety of handmade products could be purchased. The collected UAH 13 860 was sent to the Ukrainian military.

The Rivne Zoo became a partner of the Ukrainian Bat Rehabilitation Center in the rescue of red-listed animals.

Ternopil oblast

The Army Aid from Ternopil center sent over 70 parcels from their relatives to the military in Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts. The car was loaded with generators, heaters, shoes and other things necessary for Ukrainian defenders.

400 sets of military uniforms were handed over from Ternopil for the needs of defenders.

Inspectors of the patrol police of Ternopil oblast became blood donors for the military, who are being treated for wounds received in the war and need donor blood.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that in Khmelnytskyi oblast, 501 street loudspeakers, 1 823 FM receivers placed in public institutions and 187 manually activated sirens have been installed. The Alarm application is installed on the phones of 146 190 residents of the oblast.

The RMA reported that in oblast and district military administrations, territorial communities of the oblast, 41 auto-dial devices have been installed and are working to notify the leadership of civil defense.

Chernivtsi oblast

A regional representative office of the Budmall Center project has opened in Chernivtsi, which introduces housing concepts for IDPs – with modular and frame houses. The exhibition site was set up on the territory of the Bukovyna hotel.

International support

The EU transferred 4 patrol boats UMS – 425CC to Ukraine for protection of the state border worth UAH 2.2 million. Each boat accommodates a crew of four. The vessel is equipped with life jackets and an echo sounder to determine the depth of water under the vessel.

The Minister of Defense of Slovakia Yaroslav Nad announced that the first four units of the Zuzana 2 ACS are already in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of Slovakia reported that his country will send MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine in September. The number of aircraft has not yet been named, but Slovakia now has about 12 fighters.
