It has been the 168th day of Ukraine’s resistance to Russian military aggression. 

Ukraine briefly:

Here is operational information on the russian invasion as of 6pm:

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation has not changed. According to available information, since August 9, 2022, in Minsk, under the leadership of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the republic of belarus, military training with territorial defense units and reservists was launched. The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of the republic of belarus remains.

Towards Siversk, the enemy shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Senkivka, Chernihiv oblast, and Brusky, Havrylova Sloboda, Stari Vyrky, and Seredyna-Buda, Sumy oblast, from barreled artillery. 

Towards Kharkiv, the occupier conducted intensive aerial reconnaissance with UAVs. Considerable efforts are being made to improve logistics support of units operating in this area. The enemy also shelled Cherkaski and Ruski Tyshky, Korobochkyne, Prudianka, Ruska Lozova, Svitlychne, Shevelivka, Verkhnyi and Staryi Saltiv. 

An airstrike was launched near Husarivka.

The occupier carried out assault operations near Husarivka, Petrivka and Udy to gain a foothold there. The Ukrainian military inflicted significant losses on the invaders and forced them to flee. 

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy carried out fire damage from tanks, barreled and rocket artillery in the areas of Bohorodychne, Dibrovne, Dolyna, Dovhenke, Krasnopillia, Velyka Komyshuvakha, and Virnopillya. Near Velyka Komyshuvakha, the invaders tried to break through the defenses of our troops, failed and withdrew.

Towards Donetsk, the enemy used barreled and jet artillery, tanks to push back Ukrainian units from the occupied frontiers. To conduct reconnaissance of logistics support routes and critical infrastructure, aerial reconnaissance with the UAVs was conducted.

Towards Kramatorsk, there was shelling near Hryhorivka, Siversk, Sydorove and Verkhniokamianske.

Towards Bakhmut, occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure near Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Soledar, Vershyna and Yakovlivka with artillery.  The invaders launched airstrikes near Bakhmut, Spirne, Soledar, Vershyna, Vesele, Yakovlivka, and Zaitseve. Aerial reconnaissance with UAVs was conducted.

The enemy tried to advance in the areas of Bakhmut, Kodema, Soledar, Spirne and Yakovlivka, but had no success and withdrew.

Artillery shelling continued towards Avdiivka near Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Marinka, Pisky, and Sukha Balka. Near Krasnohorivka and Marinka. The occupiers also used aircraft.

The enemy conducted offensive operations towards Avdiivka and Pisky, was rebuffed and withdrew.

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy shelled near Bilohiria, Burlatske, Novomykhailivka, Olhivske, Shevchenko, Velyka Novoselka and Vuhledar. Air strikes were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Pavlivka, Vuhledar, Novoselka, Novodanilivka and Poltavka. There were enemy reconnaissance with UAVs.

Towards the South Buh, the occupiers focus their main efforts on keeping their positions and preventing the advance of our troops. Intensive aerial reconnaissance continues.

Civilian and military infrastructure were shelled in the areas of settlements of Blahodatne, Kobzartsi, Kniazivka, Lymany, Luch, Myrne, Novomykolaivka, Oleksandrivka, Prybuzhske and Trudoliubivka. Air strikes were carried out to target Andriivka, Novohryhorivka and Olhyne. The enemy tried to conduct combat reconnaissance near Lozovoe, came under Ukrainian defenders’ fire, suffered losses and randomly retreated.


The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine informs that the state portal for children’s searching Children of War was launched. This resource will help police officers collect data on Ukrainian kids who went missing during the war, ended up in the temporarily occupied territories, or were illegally deported to russia. It is possible to report about the missing child, crimes against a child, as well as abou finding a child or a kid’s deportation. 

Ukroboronprom announced the signing of an agreement on cooperation with the Association of Defense and Security Industry of Denmark, which includes 18 largest defense companies. This agreement will enable Ukraine  to develop unmanned and maritime systems, cyber defense, and other industrial cooperation together with Denmark. 

The “South” Operational Command reports that the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a bridge near the hydroelectric station in Nova Kakhovka. Now it cannot be used. 


Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

The enemy is actively using tanks, cannon and rocket artillery on the contact line. The enemy attempted to launch an offensive near Veterynarne – Udy but was forced to withdraw with losses under the fire of Ukrainian troops. Hostilities continue in Bayrak – Husarivka.

No shelling was recorded in Kharkiv over the past 24 hours.

The invaders shelled settlements in Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts. Most destructions were recorded in Tsyrkuny village, Kharkiv district. The village was shelled continuously throughout the day. Private households, outbuildings, garages and a shop were destroyed. There were 16 fires due to enemy shelling. A 64-year-old woman was injured.

Russian troops shelled Staryy Saltiv. As a result, two people were killed. 

Donetsk oblast

As of 11 August, a special regime of entry, exit and movement of vehicles will come into force in Donetsk oblast. The order was given by Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyy, commander of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops.

The invaders shelled Bakhmut with Uragan multiple rocket launchers – seven people were killed and six injured. The Prosecutor-General’s Office said that 12 houses were damaged and fires broke out in four of them.

Mariupol City Council reports in a telegram channel that in the occupied city there was an explosion. There was no information about the casualties yet.

Terrorist Donetsk People’s Republic leader Denys Pushylin says the first tribunal for Ukrainian prisoners of war in Mariupol will be held by the end of summer.

Luhansk oblast

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, reports that russian terrorist troops are incapable of reaching regional administrative borders. According to him, the invaders are tired after long battles in Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk and are now regrouping. The enemy is mostly throwing private military units into battles.

Serhiy Hayday informs that in Sievierodonetsk 90% of homes are damaged and 70% cannot be repaired. The city’s critical infrastructure was leveled to the ground. The invaders are offering locals to rebuild their homes at their own expense.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, there are currently three options for leaving Luhansk oblast – on foot via Kharkiv oblast, via Zaporizhzhia oblast and via russian territories to the Baltic states.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

A meeting was held at the Kyiv RMA with the UNDP representatives in Ukraine involving Manal Fowani, Acting Resident Representative in Ukraine. They discussed de-mining of territories, human rights violations during occupation by russian troops, removal of construction debris, and restoration of objects damaged by the war.

There are still mines and unexploded ordnance in vast territories of Kyiv oblast. So during the summer, specialists from the State Emergency Situations Service, doctors and police have been teaching children and youth mine safety rules. They instruct young citizens on what to do upon detecting suspicious objects and how to provide first aid.

The Security Service of Ukraine served the notice of charges to the russian soldier, who ordered the shooting of civilians in the Brovary region. Senior Lieutenant of the russian army Anton Struev is suspected under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code (violation of the laws and customs of war). A full evidence base has already been collected on the invader, including an intercepted phone conversation and the testimony of a survivor.

The bodies of 16 dead Mariupol defenders arrived in Kyiv. The Azov Angels patronage service together with the Kyiv police, morgue workers, forensic experts, and criminologists are examining and registering the bodies. In case a DNA match is found, the families of the deceased will be notified.

In Kyiv, parents will be able to choose any form of education for their children and will be able to change it throughout the year. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, students will not be forced to choose a particular option. Based on their own security considerations, each family will be able to choose in-person, remote, or individual forms of education.

The third community space Vcentri HUB in Kyiv was opened in Holosiivskyi district. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, during the war the hubs in Shevchenkivskyi and Obolonskyi districts proved to be very effective and allowed volunteers to organize humanitarian aid for the victims of hostilities and hold events for internally displaced people. Eventually similar hubs are planned to be opened in all districts of the capital.

The Citizen Safety Centre was launched in Studenyky village, Boryspil district. It includes a fire brigade and a police station. The opening of such a center will help increase the quality of services offered and the level of safety of the local residents.

Students of the Kyiv Children’s Railway had training on a Skoda electric train under the supervision of their adult colleagues. 22 young railroaders worked on 708/709 Kyiv – Chernihiv – Kyiv route during which they were checking documents upon boarding, taking care of passengers throughout the journey and learning skills from experienced stewards and train drivers.

Zhytomyr oblast

Rescue services of Zhytomyr oblast are constantly training to prevent emergencies of different nature and checking the readiness of their units. SES EOD specialists have cleared almost 300 hectares of land, extinguished over 100 fires and saved thousands of lives.

According to the SES of Zhytomyr oblast, EOD specialists of Zhytomyr oblast destroyed three submunitions of modern ammunition to Uragan multiple rocket launchers used by the russian army. Explosive devices were reported by the local residents who found them in the villages of Morozivka, Nova Rutvyanka and Vorobyivshchyna in the Malyn territorial community of Korosten region.

Sumy oblast

The State Border Service reported that russian troops shelled Myropillia, Khotyn, Nova Sloboda, Seredina-Buda and Bilopilia communities. According to the information of the head of Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi, the enemy fired at Putivl and Shalygine communities.

The enemy continues to shell the territory of the Bilopillia community. Explosions of more than 25 artillery shells and mortar mines were recorded. At the same time, the enemy used grenades and fired small arms.

A gas pipeline was damaged due to the shelling of the Khotyn community. Work is underway to restore gas supply in the community.

The court found three militants of the so-called “dpr” who fought on the side of russia guilty of treason and sentenced them to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. According to the SSU, men were members of an illegal armed formation and were captured during the liberation of Severshchyna in Sumy oblast.

The museum and exhibition center “Trostyanetskyi”, damaged by the russian military, will reopen. The local history museum, damaged by the explosion, is not working yet, but the “Kruglyi Dvir” fortress, the Kenig manor and the chocolate museum have been restored.

The border guards of the oblast were given modern tablets and mobile phones, which they needed to perform combat tasks. The Sumy RMA noted that humanitarian aid became possible with the assistance of the “Good Wins” fund. St. Zinaida’s Children’s Clinical Hospital received a package of expensive medicines for lung surgery and drugs for thrombosis.

Chernihiv oblast

The aggressor continues to shell the border communities of Ukraine from the territory of russia. The SBGS reported that the enemy shelled the Snovsk community of Chernihiv oblast yesterday.

Soldiers of the “North” operational command held meetings with community heads and mayors of the oblast regarding information and explanatory work among the population in conditions of mine danger. “North” OC they remind about the ban on visiting forests, fields and forest strips along the State Border of Ukraine and in the territory of communities where hostilities took place.

The Koryukivka DMA reported that students of regional schools located in a 40-kilometer zone from the border will study remotely. The decision was agreed with the Ministry of Education and the regional military administration. These are the students of at least three territorial communities of the Koryukivka district (Snovsk, Koryukivka and Kholmy).

Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv RMA, promises that despite certain delays in restoration of the Chernihiv thermal power station, the heating season in Chernihiv will start timely. Currently, funds in the amount of UAH 100 million are expected from the state reserve fund.

More than 3,000 infrastructure facilities need to be restored in the de-occupied part of Chernihiv oblast. These are kindergartens, schools, hospitals and residential buildings.

The city council reported that the program of financial assistance to owners of private houses that suffered from russian aggression was approved in Chernihiv. The program provides financial assistance. Its amount depends on the degree of damage to the buildings.

The construction of temporary housing for residents of Chernihiv, whose houses were damaged or destroyed due to the military aggression, will begin in September. Buildings are being constructed in a memorandum signed by the Chernihiv City Council and the Red Cross. These houses will differ from modular ones because they will be built on a foundation.

It is planned to create a museum of russian crimes in the village of Yagidny. It was there during the occupation that the russian invaders forcibly detained more than 300 people in the basement of the school for almost a month. Currently, the local government together with RMA is looking for sponsors to restore the educational institution.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast 

The head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional state administration Valentin Reznichenko informed that the enemy shelled Myriv community, Nikopol district. They fired 40 artillery rounds from the MLRS. One woman was killed, 2 people injured. As a result of shelling, a gas pipeline was damaged. 233 households are left without gas.

Dnipropetrovsk Regional state administration informed that Marganets was shelled with about 40 artillery rounds from MLRS. As a result of the shelling of the  downtown, 13 people were killed, 11 people injured. 5 of them are in serious condition. As a result of the shelling, 2 fires broke out. The city council, a school, the Palace of Culture and several multi-story buildings were damaged. Power lines were damaged, about 1 200 households are left without electricity.

In Dnipro, about 25K russian books were seized from the funds of city libraries. The director of the communal institution “Dnipro City Public Libraries”  Yulia Bardukova informed that not all russian-language books were seized, but only those which were  published in russian federation and books that tell about inciting inter-ethnic conflict, religious wars, etc. Sanctioned books are not destroyed, but transferred to the storage.

A 10-year-old Valeria Karnaukh, who was internally displaced from the occupied Kherson region to Kryvyi Rih, knits and sells patriotic keychains every day. She sent collected 2K UAH  to a volunteer center to purchase knee pads for the Ukrainian military. A girl plans to continue collecting money to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Vinnytsia oblast   

The European association “Italy-Ukraine-Maidan” handed over the first batch of 30 tablets to internally displaced children. As part of further cooperation, they expect help with providing schools with generators. It was reported by Vinnytsia Mayor Serhiy Morgunov.

About 2 tons of humanitarian aid arrived at Vinnytsia City Clinical Emergency Hospital.  The Razom center of aid with the assistance of the American fund DTCare provided cargo to Ukraine. Vinnytsia City Council informed that  the medical facility received consumables, operating kits, surgical instruments, infusion systems and other medical supplies.

The exhibition “Draw statehood” is being held in Vinnytsia. 14 patriotic paintings of 8 artists were presented at the exhibition. After the exhibition in the regional youth center “Kvadrat”, paintings will be presented in art and local history museums, and later put up for auction. Collected money will be sent to the needs of the Armed Forces.

Kirovohrad oblast

The head of Kirovohrad RMA, Andriy Raikovych, said that explosive objects will be destroyed at the landfill near the regional center during the next 5-7 days.

21 graduates of the Central Ukrainian Scientific Boarding Lyceum and about 50 other schools of the region received 200 points from the multi-subject test. Six achieved the highest result in two subjects. This was announced by the head of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Andriy Raykovich.

Kirovohrad Oblast has already received 800 residents of Donetsk oblast, who arrived by five evacuation trains. This was announced by the director of the regional department of social protection of the population, Oleksandr Dogarov.

Cultural workers of the Svitlovodsk community of the Kirovohrad region bought a car for the Ukrainian military. To this end, an auction was held at which cartridges from the front line, dry rations of four armies, and paintings were sold, said the co-organizer of the action, the artistic director of the Svitlovodsk City Palace of Culture, Marina Salabutina.

In Haivoron, 7-8-year-old schoolchildren organized a fair to raise money for the Armed Forces. They collected 9 925 hryvnias in two hours, their teacher Larisa Svershok said.

Poltava oblast

Tetyana Tatarina, secretary of the city council’s street renaming working group, advised that approximately 10 000 proposals for changing toponyms in the Poltava community were submitted in a week. 

Poltava State Medical University and NU “Poltava Polytechnic” were included in the hundred best universities of the country in the consolidated rating of higher education institutions of Ukraine in 2022, published on the educational resource “Osvita.ua”.

In Poltava, fundraising is underway to create a mural dedicated to the eternal struggle of the Ukrainian people against Moscow’s expansion. 75% of the required amount has already been collected. The creation of a new mural near the agricultural university was initiated by Poltava residents Artur Kobzar, Denys Starostin, Artur Aroyan and Dmytro Bilokin.

In the Poltava region, universities evacuated from the front are opening counseling centers to help applicants with admission. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University, Donetsk regional specialized professional college of sports named after S. Bubka, Bakhmut Professional Medical College, Mariupol Professional College, etc moved to Poltava oblast.

Since the full-scale war began, renting prices have almost doubled in Poltava due to increased demand, realtor Olena Yurchenko said.

Cherkasy oblast

The head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Ihor Taburets denied russian fakes about the placement of military positions at the first aid station in Cherkasy and called it russian outright lie.

Only two of twelve schools in Smila have shelters, said Tetyana Trushkova, head of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the City Council. Currently, they are being repaired and equipped with everything necessary for the safe stay of children during air raids.

The head of NGO “Star of Hope” Andrii Lykhachev started collecting paintings by Cherkasy artists to sell them at an auction in Poland. According to him, 30 works have been collected so far, the funds received will be given to orphans and military personnel.

The Katerinopil Multidisciplinary Hospital received medical drugs, a device for artificial lung ventilation, and monitors for tracking the condition of patients from a team of humanitarian hub volunteers. The Japanese and American hub partners provided assistance.

It is planned to create a room for rehabilitation of wounded soldiers in the trauma department of one of the Cherkasy hospitals. Currently, simulators that have already been brought from Poland are being installed, the head of the hospital Yuriy Beikun said.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not changed significantly.  The occupiers continue shelling Ukrainian defenders’ positions and civil infrastructure of the settlements along the demarcation line.

The enemy shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Temyrivka and Mala Tokmachka.

Tonight, the occupiers fired four rockets at the village of Kushuhum in Zaporizhzhia district. One person died under the rubble. As a result of rocket attacks, 69 buildings were damaged, 5 of them were completely destroyed.

The police received 10 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian occupation forces.

Ukrainian resistance forces damaged the premises of the headquarters of the united russia party in Melitopol, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a buildup of enemy equipment in the area of the Kyrylivka village. This was reported by the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.

1 209 people, including 334 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.

According to the Melitopol mayor, Ivan Fedorov, the organizers of the pseudo-referendum on joining the russian federation plan to come to the citizens’ homes together with armed soldiers in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. In total, the pseudo-referendum will last 5 days. 

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the South Operational Command the enemy shelled Mykolaiv oblast with rockets during the night. 8 private houses were damaged due to the strikes in the suburbs. Warehouses and a depot of an enterprise were damaged by shelling. Three people, including one child, were injured.

Settlements in Halytsynove community and Shevchenkove village were shelled. As a result of the shelling, a large-scale fire broke out in the Halytsynove forest tract. 40 rescuers and 9 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing. Local residents also helped fight the fire.

Bereznehuvate, Blahodatne, Murakhivka, Prybuzke, Shevchenkove, Luch, Kostiantynivka, and Pervomaiske also came under enemy attack.

Agricultural lands caught fire outside the villages of Polyana and Shyroke of Bashtanka district after the shelling.

Settlements in Bereznehuvate community, located on the demarcation line, remain under constant fire.

Odesa oblast

According to the South Operational Command, there are 2 surface missile carriers in the Black Sea, which have 16 Kalibr missiles at the ready. Another 10 ships and boats of the enemy fleet are near the Crimean coast in remote areas, avoiding damage.

Over 370K tons of agricultural products were exported from Ukrainian ports during the nine days of the “grain corridor” operation. This is reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports of Authority.

The Security Service of Ukraine announced an international search for ex-Deputy of the “Party of Regions” Igor Markov. In June, Markov was charged with collaborationism.

Kherson oblast

The enemy continues to conduct hostilities on the occupied line of defense.

The South Operational Command reported that the bridge in the area of the Kakhovskaya HPP cannot be used as a result of the effective work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The enemy tried to carry out combat reconnaissance using the forces of the airborne assault platoon towards the recently liberated Lozove. The enemy had no success and retreated.

The enemy launched 2 missiles and 3 air strikes on Ukrainian units during the day. 5 air-to-air cruise missiles were fired at the aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are no losses in our aviation.

The Ukrainian aviation launched 7 strikes, hitting 5 centers of enemy manpower, weapons and equipment in the Bashtanka, Beryslav and Kherson districts, as well as 2 strongholds 40 km from Kherson.

The confirmed enemy losses over the combat day are 35 occupiers, 6 units of armored vehicles and vehicles, including 1 T-72 tank and 1 command vehicle. The ammunition depot in Novooleksiivka and the command and observation post of the battalion tactical group of the enemy’s 217th parachute regiment near the village of Maksym Gorky were also destroyed.

The so-called “rector of Kherson University” Tetyana Tomilinia was accused of collaboration. The investigators established that on June 14, armed russian soldiers seized the premises of KSU and appointed her a “rector of the university”.

The occupying authorities of Kherson oblast announced the introduction of a transit system for transportation of local agricultural products. The occupiers want to force local farmers to cooperate with them or stop their activities.

Russia is trying to passport the population of the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblast as soon as possible. However, it turned out that even on the territory of the aggressor country, this “passport” is not considered a full-fledged document. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation. Volyn

Zakarpattia oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Head of the RMA Svitlana Onyshchuk reported that over UAH 3 million was paid to 212 employers in Prykarpattia for the employment of 352 internally displaced people.

The RMA reported that 3 all-terrain vehicles, 5 diesel generators, 5 wood-burning stoves, 25 fire extinguishers and other items necessary for the military were sent to the front from Ivano-Frankivsk. The cost of this delivery is over UAH 1 million.

Lviv oblast

306 people have arrived in Lviv from the areas of active hostilities by two evacuation trains. 761 people left for Przemysl by four trains.

The Lviv District Military Administration and Angels of Ukraine CF signed a memorandum of cooperation.

All cities of Lviv oblast should start the heating season on time. Preparations are taking place as planned. This was discussed at a meeting with the participation of the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Chernyshov and mayors of the oblast.

The Lviv Defense Cluster (LDC) produced and sent 80K bulletproof vests of the 4th class of protection for defenders of Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

Head of Rivne RMA Vitaliy Koval reports that since the beginning of the year, the Rivne customs office has transferred UAH 2.9 billion to the state budget.

The Mayor of Rivne, Oleksandr Tretyak, announced that 56 fallen Heroes from Rivne will receive the title of honorary citizens of the city. The victims’ families will receive UAH 20K each from the community budget.

The staff of Dermanskyi NEC, employees of the library, cultural center and caring villagers held a charity fair. Earned funds – over UAH 57K – will be used to purchase a car for Ukrainian defenders.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil, an additional UAH 10 million were allocated for arranging shelters in educational institutions.

55 enterprises have moved to Ternopil oblast, 42 of them are already working in new locations, 7 are renovating premises and adjusting equipment. Another 3 enterprises are in the process of transporting their production facilities.

In Ternopil, the Alley of Stars will be filled with a star Defenders of Ukraine.

Brothers – 12-year-old Mykola and 14-year-old Vladyslav Kozyra from Zbarazh – actively help Ukrainian defenders. They sell honey, cucumbers and pastries, and give money to a local volunteer center. Over the past 4 days, the boys have collected almost UAH 6K.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Since the full-scale war began, over 30K displaced persons have received support from the Center for Humanitarian Aid of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Council.

Volunteers from Lithuania visited a family from Mariupol who managed to escape the war to Khmelnytskyi oblast. Volunteers brought a sewing machine and an electric wheelchair for a girl who, after a long stay in the basement, lost the ability to move on her own.

One of the most famous dogs of Ukraine – the Patron dog – visited Khmelnytskyi, where together with his owner conducted several lessons on mine safety, and also talked with Khmelnytskyi children and migrant children.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Chernivtsi RMA, a meeting was held with Dmytro Shkilniuk, director of the NGO IT Cluster “Chernivtsi IT community”, Kostyantyn Vasyuk, executive director of the “IT Ukraine” association, and Ruslan Biloskursky, dean of the Faculty of Economics of Yuriy Fedkovich National University of Ukraine. It was about development of the IT industry in Bukovina, improvement of the oblast’s infrastructure and new projects.

 

International support

From August 10, the fifth package of EU sanctions against russia, adopted back in April, comes into effect.

The US will allocate $89 million to Ukraine for the demining program. The funds will be used for training of sappers and specialized equipment.

Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko and Regional Director of the World Bank for Eastern Europe (belarus, Moldova and Ukraine) Arup Banerjee signed the Agreement on providing Ukraine with a grant in the amount of 4.5 billion dollars.

US Deputy Secretary of Defense Colin Kahl announced that the Pentagon confirmed the transfer of a batch of AGM-88 air-based anti-radar missiles (HARM) to Ukraine.

Ukraine received several more from Germany anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery installations Gepard. 49K shells to them and 3 armored repair and evacuation vehicles were sent.

The first 39 wagons of coal from Australia arrived at the Ukrainian TPP. This is part of the humanitarian aid from the Australian government. Ukraine should receive 79K tons of coal.

Head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, arrived in Latvia to discuss military aid to Ukraine.

The UN Global Compact launched the Mental Help project in Ukraine. Its purpose is to provide free psychological services to people affected by russia’s war against Ukraine.

The EU and Great Britain stopped buying coal from the russian federation. According to the European Commission, this embargo will affect 25% of all russian coal exports worth 8 billion euros per year.
