It has been the 208th day of Ukraine’s resistance to the russian military invasion.

Ukraine briefly

Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:

The enemy continues to focus on organizing the defensive and holding the occupied territories, trying to completely occupy Donetsk Oblast, and disrupting the advance of the Defense Forces in certain areas. The enemy shells positions of our troops along the contact line, in some directions takes measures to redeploy its units, introduces reserves and does not stop conducting aerial reconnaissance. 

There is a constant threat of air and missile strikes throughout Ukraine.

During the day, the enemy inflicted 4 missile and 9 air strikes, carried out more than 11 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on military and civilian targets on the territory of Ukraine, violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, laws and customs of warfare. 

The infrastructure of more than 24 settlements was affected, in particular, in Avdiivka, Bilohorivka, Kramatorsk, Krasnohorivka, Myrolubivka, Mykolaiv, Novomykhaylivka, Oleksandrivka, Olhivske, Petrivka, Serebrianka, Spirne, Siversk, Stepove,  Sukhyi Stavok and Zaporizhzhia. 

In the Volyn and Polissia, the situation is without significant changes.

In other directions, the enemy shells with tanks, mortars and artillery, namely:

  • towards Siversk, Mykolaivka, Chernihiv Oblast;
  • towards Sloboda region, Hlyboke, Hoptivka, Holubivka, Huriev, Ivashky, Kamianka, Kozachok, Kozacha Lopan, Kudiivka, Kupiansk, and Strelecha;
  • towards Kramatorsk, Bilohorivka, Bohorodychne, Hryhorivka, Mykolaivka, Pryshyb, Sviatohirsk, Raihorodok, Serebrianka, and Sosnove;
  • towards Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Mykolaivka Druha, Niu York, Oleksandropil, Odradivka, Rozdolivka, Rozivka, Siversk, Soledar, Vesela Dolyna, Vesele, Vyimka, Verkhnekamianske, Yuriivka, Yakovlivka and Zaitseve;
  • towards Avdiivka, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Opytne, Pervomaiske and Semenivka;

Towards the South Buh, the enemy shelled settlements along the entire contact line. More than 30 settlements suffered fire damage, including Snihurivka, Shyroke, Blahodativka, Novovoznesenske, Sukhyi Stavok, Myroliubivka and Olhyne.

The enemy continues to take radical measures to keep the situation under control. The command of the 58th Combined Arms Army of russian occupation forces held a meeting with the commanders of units operating in Zaporizhzhia direction. According to available information, at this event, attention was paid to holding the occupied positions and preventing the breakthrough of the defense forces deep into the occupied territory.

At the training ground near the city of Torez, the occupiers set up a training camp to train personnel arriving from prisons to complete the units of the 1st army corps that suffered losses during the fighting.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk oblast, collaborators and local residents of Bilokurakine and Troitske districts loyal to the occupiers, who actively cooperated with the occupation authorities, leave for the territory of the russian federation. They are trying to take out documents confirming their illegal activities as part of the self-proclaimed authorities. 

During the day, units of the Defense Forces repulsed enemy attacks in the areas of Mykolaivka Druha, Kurdiumivka and Zaitseve.

Aviation of the Defense Forces hit 11 buildups of enemy manpower and military equipment, one position of the anti-aircraft missile system and one ammunition depot.

In addition, in different directions, our air defense units  destroyed a Su-25 aircraft, a guided aircraft missile and three enemy UAVs.

Rocket troops and artillery inflicted fire on 5 strongholds and buildups of personnel and military equipment, as well as 3 ammunition depots of the occupiers. The total losses of the enemy are being clarified. 

The facts of destruction of enemy manpower and objects as of September 18 in Zaporizhzhia Oblast were confirmed. 10 artillery systems, 5 units of military equipment and enemy personnel were destroyed. According to available information, more than a hundred servicemen were wounded. 

At night, the russians shelled the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant. The missile fell 300 meters from the nuclear reactors. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said that the threats of Russian invasion of Ukraine concern not only Europe, but also any region of the world – from Asia to Latin America. He said this during a speech on Monday at an event organized by the Atlantic Council and stressed that he also implies consequences in at least two dimensions – global security and the economy. Kuleba stressed the importance of joint efforts to stop russian aggression and prevent threats to global security, avoid rising inflation and the food crisis.

The Office of the President reports that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a regular meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander. The participants of the meeting heard the reports of the commanders of the operational troops on the situation on the frontline and considered in detail the action plan of the defense forces for the further de-occupation of Ukrainian territories. The issues of ensuring security on the state border of Ukraine were also considered. The issue of logistics of the Ukrainian army, in particular the supply of necessary weapons and ammunition, remains under special control of the General Staff. The participants focused on preparing the Defense Forces for the winter period.

Now the task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in these areas of the front is to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar on the air of the nationwide telethon. She reminded that the front line remains very long – it is 1300 km, where active hostilities take place. The epicenters of the hostilities are Donetsk Oblast and the south of Ukraine, where the Armed Forces heroically resist the russian army.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders shelled Hoptivka, Huriv Kozachok, Kamianka and Kupiansk settlements. Ivashky, Kozacha Lopan, Kudiivka, Hlyboke, Holubivka and Strilecha were also under fire. 

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that the liberated territories of Kharkiv oblast are gradually recovering from a six-month occupation. The main issues now are de-mining of the liberated territories and restoration of electricity, gas and water supply. Bomb experts have already examined almost 500 hectares of territories and deactivated almost 10K explosive objects. Immediately after demining, work will begin on restoring electricity supply, and electricity will soon appear in Balakliia.

Along the contact line and the border with russian federation, russian invaders shelled settlements in Chuhuiv, Izium, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts. 

Residential buildings, outbuildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged by the enemy shelling. There were some casualties. In the Chuhuiv district, a 65-years-old woman was hospitalized with injuries and in Kupiansk, an 11-years-old boy was injured.

The exhumation of the bodies from the mass grave site is ongoing in Izium. During this time, 146 bodies were exhumed, most of them were civilians, including two children. Some of them have signs of violent death, there are bodies with tied hands and signs of torture. The dead also had blasts, shrapnel and stab wounds. All the bodies were sent for forensic examination to specify the cause of death.

According to Derhachi City Council, the city was under russian fire. Invaders’ drones dropped the mines with postponed detonation.

On the outskirts of the de-occupied Bakaliia, a russian command post was found with dozens of boxes with ammunition and two battle vehicles of infantry. 

200 patients from the psychiatric hospital were evacuated from the de-occupied Strilecha. 400 more are still there. Patients are distributed among medical facilities of other regions of Ukraine, some taken away by relatives.

Donetsk oblast

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians killed 3 civilians in Bohorodychne, Toretsk and Yahidne. Another 8 people were injured.

The russians continue shelling Donetsk oblast with artillery, aviation and rockets.

In the morning, Avdiivka was massively shelled once again and the central part of the city was damaged. There was no information about casualties, the scale of the damage is to be verified.

The russians launched a missile on Kramatorsk. The building of the economic college was damaged. Preliminary, the S-300 missile system was used. There were no casualties.

About at 2 am, Toretsk was hit by an airstrike. The russians targeted the private sector – one person was killed and a house damaged. Moreover, Toretsk suffered an artillery attack the previous day. School №1 was damaged again, particularly the branch of hub school №6.

Mariupol Mayor Councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, said that in a village near Mariupol, the russians mobilized all men under 40. They were loaded onto a bus and taken away towards Donetsk. The self-proclaimed “authorities” started an operation to strengthen the regime and there are the first detainees. Patrols by the commandant’s office, russian troops and the invader’s police are growing rapidly around the city. There are mobile roadblocks, massive checks of men’s documents. The first arrests are reported, including the identification and arrest of the author of a video of a riot by residents of the left bank.  At the same time, bots are spreading information about the start of mobilisation in the city through the public channels.

Luhansk oblast

According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, units of Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled an enemy offensive in Bakhmut, Mykolaivka Druha and Vesela Dolyna settlements.

Defence Forces aviation retaliated 21 times – damage to 16 areas of enemy buildups and strongholds as well as 5 positions of anti-aircraft missile systems was confirmed.

Rocket and artillery troops struck more than 14 enemy targets. In particular, 6 command posts, 3 strongholds and buildups of personnel and military equipment were hit.

The enemy shelled settlements with tanks, mortars and artillery, namely:

  • towards Bakhmut, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Maiorsk, Mykolaivka, Niu-York, Rozdolivka, Rozivka, Siversk, Soledar, Vesela Dolyna, Yakovlivka, Yurivka and Zaitseve;
  • towards Kramatorsk, Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka, Kryva Luka, Ozerne, Pyskunivka, Raihorodok, Serebrianka and Sviatohirsk.

A russian military base was destroyed in Kadiivka, russian equipment was destroyed and russian army personnel killed in Novoaidar.  There is no information about casualties.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that Bilohorivka settlement was liberated and is fully under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He added that 400 people from Tambov, who are serving sentences for criminal crimes, were on their way to help russian troops in the war with Ukraine.  According to Haidai, the future fighters have no winter gear.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

Head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksii Kuleba met with Etienne de Poncins, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine. They discussed issues of future cooperation and assistance in restoration of Kyiv Oblast.

The head of KRMA, Oleksii Kuleba announces that in Kyiv Oblast, the bridge over the Zdvyzh River connecting the settlements of Andriivka and Chervona Hirka, has been repaired. The bridge was blown up by the occupiers fleeing the oblast. Now it has completely restored its functions: it can be used to move trucks and cars.

The enemy also destroyed the bridge across the Zdvyzh in the town of Borodianka. Today, the bridge was reopened.

The head of the Kyiv regional administration notes that the restoration of the medical infrastructure of Kyiv oblast, which suffered from russian shelling, continues. Among the 117 damaged objects, 27 have already been completely restored. Work continues on another 41 objects – in particular, in the completely destroyed dispensaries in Makariv  and Hurivshchyna. Attention is also paid to appropriate staffing of institutions and provision of workplaces for medical personnel.

In cooperation with the UNICEF, shelters are being repaired in 22 educational institutions of the oblast. One of them is Lyceum No. 5 in Bucha. Repair work should be completed within a month. “Organizing a safe educational process for our children is a priority today,” said the head of the Kyiv administration.

The KRMA reports that nine mobile teams of doctors continue to provide medical assistance to residents of communities that survived the occupation in Kyiv oblast. In many such communities, medical facilities were damaged or destroyed, and people were left without access to medical services. Each team consists of two doctors, a psychologist or a social worker, and a driver. Local residents are provided with medical and psychological consultations, a medical examination, medical care and assistance in selection of medicines. The workers also help with humanitarian needs. So far, medical teams have made 176 visits and examined 8,027 patients.

The Kyiv RMA sent a truck with the necessary medical supplies to Kharkiv oblast as part of assistance to the residents of the de-occupied territories. “After the deoccupation, Kyiv oblast received significant aid from neighboring regions. We know how important and necessary it is,” Oleksii Kuleba comments.

Students of five Kyiv regional centers for social and psychological rehabilitation of children were temporarily evacuated outside of Ukraine due to the war. 191 children are currently undergoing rehabilitation abroad: 163 in Germany and 28 in Romania. Employees of Ukrainian centers are with them. Students receive all the necessary medical, psychological and socio-legal assistance. This is monitored by the specialists of the Children’s Service of the Kyiv RMA. Children study according to the state program in an online format and also attend local educational institutions.

On September 20, McDonald’s will open its first three restaurants in the capital. Head of the PR department of McDonald’s Ukrainian office, Alesia Mudzhiri, announced this on social networks. Initially, the restaurants will be open only for delivery. Halls and express windows are expected to open in October. Restoration of fast food facilities in Kyiv and in the west of Ukraine will last for two months.

In Kyiv Oblast, due to showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind up to 20 m/s, 314 settlements were cut off, 125 of them completely and 189 partially. 150 overhead power lines and 2,612 transformer substations were damaged. According to the KRMA, Bohuslav, Boryspil, Vasylkiv and Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi power stations were the most affected by bad weather. In the morning, it was possible to restore electricity in 193 settlements. Intensive restoration continues.

In the capital’s Victoria Museum of costume and style, an exhibition of dresses and accessories will be held, which reproduce famous images from photographs of the world-famous Ukrainian opera singer Solomiia Krushelnytska.

Zhytomyr oblast

In the morning, more than 50 settlements remained without power in Zhytomyr oblast due to bad weather. 10 lines were disconnected from the power supply. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr oblast. Restoration work is underway.

The Spanish city of Malaga sent two buses with humanitarian aid to Zhytomyr. This was announced by Mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn, who met with Malaga Mayor Francisco de la Torre Prados and representatives of the municipality. Residents of Malaga also collected EUR 37K for Zhytomyr. These funds will be used to purchase generators and batteries for the Ukrainian military. Plans for further assistance were also discussed at the meeting: rest for defenders’ children, rehabilitation of the military, and a prosthetics program for the wounded. The city of Malaga has been assisting Zhytomyr since the start of the full-scale invasion.

A new educational initiative for teachers from UNICEF will begin in Zhytomyr oblast. The start of the program was announced by the public organization In Touch Ukraine Foundation. The program includes a wide range of educational activities that should help children make up for educational opportunities lost due to the war. First of all, courses will be developed for teachers and psychologists with innovative teaching methods in such areas as digital tools for mixed learning in schools; facilitation in the educational process; correction of post-traumatic stress disorder of children; training on the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) according to UNICEF standards. It is planned to involve 1,710 teachers and 270 psychologists from Zhytomyr oblast, who will use new methods in 570 schools of the region. Financial incentives for teachers are also provided.

Planned exercises of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are held in the north of Zhytomyr oblast from September 19 to October 1. This was reported by the Korosten RSA. Citizens are asked to remain calm if gunshots are heard. This is especially true for those who live near the Bazar district of the Narodychi territorial community.

A charity football tournament was held in Berdychiv on the occasion of Lifeguard’s Day. The tournament, which took place at the “CYSS” stadium, was dedicated to helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Participants collected funds for the purchase of 15 tablets for the Armed Forces. During the event, it was possible to collect 48 thousand hryvnias.

On September 21, the Oleg Olzhych Zhytomyr Oblast Universal Scientific Library will host a presentation of the anthology of military lyrics Spring Is Armed. The authors of the anthology, Head of the National Union of Writers Mykhailo Sydorzhevskyi and Director of the Kyiv publishing house Lira-K Vitalii Zarytskyi will take part in the event.

Sumy oblast

Russian troops shelled the Bilopillia community with barrel artillery and mortars. 52 hits were recorded. The Sumy RMA reported that as a result of shelling, a local resident was killed and a farm was seriously damaged (dead cattle, damaged granaries, water tower, farm premises, agricultural machinery).

The enemy continues shelling the border of Sumy oblast. Shelling of the Krasnopillia community was recorded in the Sumy community. The enemy opened artillery fire from the MLRS twice on the village of Slavhorod from the area of the village of Pochaevo in the russian federation. One person was injured, a residential building caught fire, and a civilian car was damaged due to the shelling.

The Ecoinspection calculated the damage caused by the russian rocket-bomb attack on transformers located near the city of Lebedyn. Due to the enemy strike on March 3, petroleum products leaked and a fire broke out, as a result of which more than 35 tons of transformer oil burned. According to the inspector’s calculations, the total amount of damage caused by atmospheric air pollution amounted to more than UAH 727K.

Dmytro Zhivytskyi, Head of Sumy RMA, said that communities of the Konotop district, especially Burin, were affected by the storm. Employees of the State Emergency Service spent the whole night eliminating the consequences of the natural disaster: they pulled people out from under the rubble, restored the damaged roofs of residential buildings, removed fallen trees from the roads, deployed heating points, and installed 7 generators to provide electricity. Four people received minor injuries, a woman and a six-month-old child were hospitalized.

The Esman village council received a modern solar station from the NGO Kyiv KISAR as part of the project Community Energy Supply – SOS. The station will be installed in the outpatient clinic of general family medicine practice, which will allow providing back-up power supply in case of an emergency power outage.

Chernihiv oblast

The regional military administration reported that work on restoration of Chernihiv City Hospital No. 2 is underway. The medical institution was one of the key ones in provision of medical aid to the wounded during active hostilities – emergency medical aid was provided to more than a thousand patients at the time. More than UAH 11 million has been allocated to the restoration of the hospital. Currently, all window and door units provided for in the contract have been replaced. Part of the work in the medical facility is carried out by the International Medical Corps.

EUR 1 million for implementation of two grant projects was attracted by the Lampa non-governmental organization of the Snovsk community with the support of U-LEAD. The first project is to support humanitarian needs of children of border communities and internally displaced persons, the second project is aimed at the development of the youth environment and public activism of residents. The Ukraine Empowerment Program U–LEAD with Europe is jointly funded by the EU and its member states to support Ukraine on its way to strengthening local self-government.

On the occasion of the City Day, an exhibition of photo portraits of female volunteers and professionals called Stories of Strong Women was opened in Chernihiv. The goal of the project is to tell about the women who, during active hostilities around Chernihiv, showed their best qualities – sensitivity, care, courage, patriotism and professionalism. These are female volunteers and entrepreneurs, including a realtor and a showroom director, a student and a doctor, a female beekeeper, a journalist, heads of enterprises, public organizations and religious communities. Chernihiv photographer Iryna Vlasova was able to capture and convey their depth and sincerity in photographs. This is her first personal exhibition. The exhibition takes place in the premises of the Agency for Regional Development.

The Chernihiv RMA reported that overhead power lines were damaged and disconnected in Chernihiv oblast due to bad weather. In particular, more than 18K consumers in 69 settlements of the oblast remain without electricity. The Chernihivoblenerho carries out emergency and recovery works.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The occupiers hit the Nikopol district twice. They fired from Hrad MRLS  and heavy artillery. Nikopol was fired upon twice. As a result, more than a dozen residential buildings, commercial buildings, cars, electrical networks and water supply were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The russian army shelled the Marganets community in the morning. A power line was damaged, several thousand families were without electricity.  There were no casualties. This was announced by Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk.

The Russians shelled the Zelenodolsk community with heavy artillery. A 58-year-old woman was injured. She was riding a bicycle on the road when russian shells fell there. Now,  she is in hospital, doctors assess her condition as moderate. This was announced by Head of the Regional State Administration, Valentyn Reznichenko.

Also, the ‘East’ Air Command reported that our defenders shot down an enemy drone over Dnipropetrovsk region.

Vinnytsia oblast

In cooperation with GIZ and other partners, a hostel for internally displaced families with children was renovated. This was reported in the Vinnytsia City Council. 12 rooms for more than 40 people have been renovated. There is also a kitchen and bathrooms with showers. The Internet was connected to every room. The Charitable Foundation Podilska hromada helped with the furniture.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, children with disabilities made 350 trench candles for Ukrainian soldiers. Head of the public organization Mother’s Heart Liudmila Shukruta told about it.

Poltava oblast

A drone for the aerial reconnaissance brigade was purchased in Poltava. The quadrocopter will be used to adjust artillery fire on enemy positions and reconnaissance. Funds for the drone were collected by the charity fund Helpgroup. According to Head of the foundation David Jalagonii, it took more than 2 months to raise funds. It was purchased abroad and delivered to Ukraine. The drone was purchased for the defenders of the 127th Brigade of the Territorial Defense who are fighting towards Kharkiv.

Cherkasy oblast

At the charity fair, pupils of the Cherkasy sanatorium school and their parents collected UAH 68,540. The event was organized to raise funds for the purchase of 20 drones for the Ukrainian military.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

During the night, the occupiers hit  the infrastructure of the city and the Zaporizhzhia district twice. One person is injured. 10 hits at civil and critical infrastructure facilities in three districts of Zaporizhzhia have been recorded. In addition, several private and apartment buildings, parked cars were damaged by the blast wave. The russian armed forces also fired on the village of Pryvitne in the Zaporizhzhia district. According to the General Staff, on September 18, 10 artillery systems, 5 units of military equipment and more than a hundred servicemen were destroyed in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Last weekend, the russian army shelled Polohy, Vasylivka and Zaporizhzhia districts. More than 40 residential buildings and other civil infrastructure objects were destroyed. As a result of the armed aggression, there are injured citizens.

Despite the hostilities, Zaporizhzhia farmers have already started harvesting sunflowers and soybeans. Soil preparation and  winter crops sowing have started. At this time, 2K hectares of winter wheat and 2K hectares of rapeseed have already been sown.

It is proposed to name a street in Zaporizhzhia in honor of Yulia Chaika, the fallen defender of Ukraine. The proposal was supported by the working group of the Zaporizhzhya City Council of Urban Names.

Mykolaiv oblast

Enemy troops attacked the South Ukrainian NPP with an Iskander missile. The missile hit 300 meters from the nuclear reactors. The shock wave damaged the buildings of the NPP, over 100 windows were broken. One of the hydraulic units of the Oleksandrivskaya HPP, which is part of the South Ukrainian energy complex, was shut down. Three high-voltage power lines were also disconnected. Currently, all three station power units are operating in a regular mode. There are no casualties among the staff.

6  S-300 missiles and 3 Smerch rockets hit industrial and civil infrastructure facilities in Mykolaiv at night. Several private houses and a warehouse of an industrial enterprise were damaged. There were no casualties or injuries.

Before dawn, the enemy attacked the Mykolaiv district with two Kh-59 cruise missiles from Su-35 fighter jets. One rocket was destroyed in the air, the second fell into a private garage. There are no casualties.

The enemy hit the Bereznehuvate community, which is located near the front line, with three Smerch missiles. A hospital and a solar power plant were damaged. The scale of destruction and losses is being clarified.

Odesa oblast

There are 4 ships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including 1 surface missile carrier with eight Kalibr missiles on board. 

Odesa has received humanitarian aid in the amount of over UAH 360 million since February 24. One of the examples of assistance is the grant project to improve the Memorial Square Against Oblivion, which is financed by Germany. By February 24, the city hall received the first tranche in the amount of over five million hryvnias. After a full-scale invasion, project management allowed the city to spend the money on more urgent needs. Generators and first-aid kits were purchased for the Territorial Defense fighters.

Kherson oblast

The situation in the South Buh direction remains tense with powerful dynamics, but is controlled by the Defense Forces.

Around midnight, the enemy subversive and reconnaissance group, numbering up to 10 people, tried to enter the rear of our unit near Arkhangelsk, but was discovered and repulsed. As a result of a shooting battle, the enemy retreated with losses

During the night, the enemy shelled the positions of our troops along the entire contact line with large-caliber barrel artillery and MLRSs. The enemy launched 2 air strikes and 1 missile strike, in particular, on the territory of front-line communities and rear areas.

In the morning an anti-aircraft missile unit shot down an enemy Su-25 attack aircraft in the sky of Kherson oblast.

The Ukrainian aviation launched 11 strikes on the enemy, and missile and artillery units executed more than 200 fire missions. As a result, an enemy warehouse in the Bashtanka district, Mykolaiv oblast, two command posts and the occupying air defense forces’ positions in Beryslav and Kakhovka districts, weapons and equipment buildups near Lvove, an electronic warfare station near Kherson and a pontoon crossing in Nova Kakhovka were affected.

So far, the confirmed enemy losses are 29 occupiers, 2 self-propelled and 1 conventional 152 mm Msta-S and Msta-B howitzers, a fighter aircraft command vehicle and BMP-3. 2 warehouses with ammunition were destroyed in Blahodatne and Kherson.

Russian troops are trying to carry out a more targeted and controlled withdrawal in the western part of Kherson oblast. In this way, the russians try to avoid a chaotic escape. This is reported by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Continued Ukrainian attacks on russian communication land lines across the Dnipro River to western part of Kherson oblast appear to be increasingly affecting russian supplies on the right bank and temporarily reducing russian artillery fire. The latest reports indicate a shortage of food and water in the russian-occupied Kherson.

Over the past two days, the police opened 36 criminal proceedings regarding war crimes committed by the russian army in Kherson oblast. The russians shelled 11 settlements of the region: Arkhangelske, Visokopillia and Karierne, the villages of Petrivka, Myroliubivka, Pravdyne, Davydiv Brid, Blahodativka, Tavriiske, Novobratske and Osokorivka. Private houses, garages, solar power plants and warehouses were destroyed and damaged, and there were killed and injured.

After the de-occupation of Visokopillia, the police received reports from local residents about property destroyed or damaged by the russian army. Thus, during the occupation of the village, the property and equipment of the agricultural enterprise costing about 13 million hryvnias were damaged.

President Zelenskyy signed the Decree on the formation of military administrations in 15 settlements of Kherson oblast. The President also appointed four heads of military administrations in the region

Western regions

Volyn oblast

The 100th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense reported that in the border areas of Volyn oblast, a system of engineering barriers, in particular mine-explosive ones, was installed.

In Volyn, Israeli art therapist Masha Krasna helped refugee children deal with psychological trauma. She spent a week working with migrant children and teaching school psychologists to master a new progressive method of working with psychotrauma. Masha Krasna has 35 years of experience in this field, 15 of which in trauma psychology.

An open city charity karate championship Honor and Glory to the Unbreakable was held in Lutsk. UAH 65K collected at the event will be donated to buy a car for the military.

The Japanese band Heavenphetamine collecting funds for Ukrainian defenders in Europe performed in Lutsk.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko visited Zakarpattia on a working visit.

The Berehiv Territorial Community will allocate UAH 7 million from the budget and redirect it to the Berehiv 73rd Battalion of the Armed Forces for the purchase of winter clothing for the military.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The Ivano-Frankivsk military hospital received a centrifuge and a hematological blood analyzer. The equipment was purchased with the financial support of the Provincial Council of the Ukrainian Congress of Canada in Alberta.

Lviv oblast

The RMA reported that over UAH 17 million from the oblast budget were allocated to improve energy efficiency of territorial communities of Lviv oblast. It is planned to reconstruct and repair external heat networks, internal heating systems, and installation equipment for alternative types of fuel (firewood, coal, briquettes, pellets, etc.).

Forcibly displaced people can receive psychological assistance, food and hygiene products, consult lawyers, arrange payments, make an appointment with a doctor for free in Lviv oblast.These services are provided by advisory and coordination agencies centers that operate in all districts of the oblast on the initiative of the Lviv RMA.

20 men who lived under occupation for six months were evacuated from a boarding house in Kharkiv oblast to Lviv oblast. They were hosted in the Hrushiv psychoneurological boarding school. Currently 190 wards are staying there, 59 of them are resettled from the Sloviansk psycho-neurological boarding school, and 20 people arrived  from Zaporizhzhia oblast the day before.

Students of the Nahachiv school of the Yavoriv community received school supplies from Polish volunteers. The Polish organization Fundacja Folkowisko donated stationery, training materials, school boards, sports equipment, a tennis table, etc.

On September 20, the Lviv center for providing services to combatants plans to conduct an art therapy session for children. Children will be able to learn how to protect their space, feel safe thanks to mental resources and enhance their character strengths.

Rivne oblast

This year, over 4,5K participants attended workshops from the Digital in Your Pocket project. These are residents of Rivne oblast of various ages, as well as displaced people. It is an educational project implemented by the Rivne RMA and regional libraries aimed at teaching the widest possible range of community residents to use popular online services.

A Citroën Jumpy 2.0 mobile refrigerator was delivered to Rivne oblast for transporting vaccines. The car is equipped with special refrigeration equipment with a 4-cubic-meter capacity. The aid came as part of cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Ternopil oblast

A fire safety children’s room was presented at the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Ternopil oblast. Here, children will be taught how to properly handle fire and explosive objects. Before having classes in the fire safety room, children will visit the mine safety museum, opened on September 1.

The Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council reported that aerial gymnastics competitions were held in the city. About 200 participants from different oblasts of Ukraine took part. Over UAH 30K were collected at the event and donated to the needs of the Armed Forces.

Chernivtsi oblast

Head of the Chernivtsi RMA Ruslan Zaparaniuk met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine Alexandru-Victor Mikula. They discussed providing assistance to internally displaced persons.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania Alexandru-Victor Mikula stated that the Romanian side is ready to contribute to increasing the capacity of the Porubne-Siret checkpoint.

International support

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Spain sent five transport planes with ammunition for large-caliber artillery systems to Ukraine.

The Ministry of Health received humanitarian aid – vaccines against poliomyelitis, tetanus and diphtheria. The aid came from the Government Agency of Strategic Reserves of Poland, companies Bayer and Merck and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

The ban on the entry of rf citizens to the Baltic countries and Poland has come into force.

Switzerland suspended the simplified issuance of visas for citizens of the russian federation.

Germany proposed to create a tank consortium with 12 countries to transfer Leopard 2 to Ukraine.

Minister of Internal Affairs of Lithuania, Agne Bilotaite, stated that after the Baltic countries and Poland stopped allowing russians with tourist Schengen visas enter the EU, such a decision is being considered for the citizens of belarus as well.

Ukraine will give free grain to the two poorest countries. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine ordered to allocate 50K tons of wheat as humanitarian aid for starving people in Ethiopia and Somalia. This is stated in the resolution No. 1040.
