At least 959 Ukrainian civilians, including 47 children, have been killed by russian shelling in Kharkiv oblast since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Russian aggressors continue heavy shelling and attempts of the offensive in Donetsk oblast. On July 16, 3 civilians were killed, and 12 more were injured. 33 buildings were damaged. The town of Pokrovsk was hit by a russian ballistic missile. Hostilities are ongoing.

On July 16, russian occupiers carried out a series of shelling and missile strikes on the government-controlled areas of Mykolaiv oblast. Three civilians were killed, and four more were injured.

The Ukrainian OSINT analytics identified another russian occupier suspected of committing war crimes. Private Daniil Frolkin from the 64th russian brigade killed a civilian, looted military awards from a World War II veteran and participated in other war crimes. The General Prosecutor’s Office officially incriminates Frolkin in violating laws and customs of war.

On July 16-17, russian aggressors shelled northern suburbs of Kharkiv close to the village of Derhachi. A civilian died of wounds caused by the enemy attack.
