Hostile russian troops continue heavy shelling, launch air strikes and attempt the assault on Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. On May 9, 13 civilians were killed, 10 wounded and 28 houses damaged.

345 civilians were killed, 1019 wounded in Donetsk oblast since the large-scale russian invasion began. The data does not include casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

On May 9, 1 civilian was killed, 1 injured as russian invaders fired on their vehicle in Bilohiria village, Polohy district, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

On May 9, 1 civilian was killed, 8 wounded as hostile russian troops launched 7 missile strikes on Odesa, its suburbs destroying the shopping mall and warehouses.

Ukrainian law enforcement officers and military started investigating the russian war crimes committed on the outskirts of Kharkiv in February-May. The Ukrainian counter-offensive made it possible in Kharkiv oblast. Bodies of 3 civilians, killed by russian troops during occupation, were found near Tsyrkyny village. The village is badly damaged.
